Andrews Consulting Group has
grown, changed and evolved significantly
during the last two decades.

In the early '80's, the initial focus of the company was on helping businesses replace mainframe computers with more cost effective midrange systems.

In 1987 Andrews Consulting Group discovered that IBM was preparing to launch a new generation of business computers that would redefine midrange systems. The industry reports and presentations made about that new system, the AS/400, established Andrews Consulting as leading experts on the market for midrange computers.

The early 1990's was a period of wrenching change in the computer industry. Client/server computing established PCs as devices every knowledgeable worker needed to use, and Andrews Consulting Group moved quickly to provide advice and assistance to companies that were seeking to take advantage of, and avoid problems inherent in, the new computing paradigm.

Later in the decade, the open systems movement introduced standards that made radically different computers able to exchange data and even software; and the Internet made it possible to link all types of intelligent devices into a single massive network. Once again, Andrews Consulting responded by building practice groups that could aid clients with the most up-to-date research and methodologies.

As the new century unfolds more than 100 Andrews consultants are helping a broad range of clients make highly effective use of information systems, develop e-business strategies, and evaluate and utilize new developments such as wireless connectivity and hosted applications.

Each wave of technological change has helped Andrews Consulting Group become a larger and more diverse company, but the things that have remained constant in the company's history include:

  • The quality and experience of our people;

  • An approach to projects, the RITE Approach
    (Revolutionizing IT Effectively)
    , that delivers benefits
    very rapidly;

  • An understanding of the special needs of mid-sized organizations;

  • Exceptionally deep expertise in software development;

  • The ability to explain complex technology in easy to understand terms.
